H. Bentham’s Kiss Away the Goodbye acquired by Blush Books (Philippine print edition)

For fans of Netflix’s Smiley and HBO’s Looking (but make it Pinoy): Contemporary romance novella Kiss Away the Goodbye by H. Bentham has been acquired by Komiket’s Blush Books for print distribution in the Philippines. In the steamy, queer romcom, Martin and Judd start as a hook-up and they’re both fine with it. Martin’s never wanted a relationship, and Judd is leaving Manila and relocating to CDO in a few weeks anyway. Continuing to see each other before Judd leaves seems like a good idea that keeps them both emotionally safe—but why then does Judd’s departure date seem so near and scary and final?

Komiket’s Blush Books imprint, co-founded by Mina V. Esguerra and Paolo Herras, acquires RomanceClass contemporary romance novellas for release as Philippine print editions with new illustrations by Filipino artists. Kiss Away the Goodbye’s art is by Rye Quizon (bibongtsubibo on Instagram and X/Twitter). Scheduled for release at the Philippine Book Festival, March 2025.
