Open to all: The next stop of the RomanceClass Kilig Cafe Tambay Tour is Commune Cafe’s branch in Polaris Street, Poblacion, Makati on July 4, Saturday, 1 to 4 PM.
At a Kilig Cafe Tambay, romance authors and readers are invited to write (or read) together, enjoy coffee and snacks prepared by the host cafe, and chat about writing and books before the end of the session.
On July 4, celebrity and showbiz romance is the hot topic. On the panel are Danice Mae P. Sison (author of Flipping the Script (Blush Books) and creator of BL series Boys’ Lockdown), Tara Frejas (author of Like Nobody’s Watching and Scandalized), Celeste Lumasac-Santiago (program manager of GMA’s Magpakailanman and Kamao), and Katherine Visconti (writer for NBC’s Chicago P.D. and Viu’s K-Love). So…on a scale of 1 to impossible, how do our romance books with celebrity characters score? What does an author writing these stories want and need to know? Are there interesting and underrated romance plots and pairings we miss out on just because we’re too focused on one side of it?
This session is open to all writers, readers, romance fans. The event fee is P500 (for those who register and send their payment before July 2, includes drink and snack + gift) / P600 (for walk-ins, includes drink and snack).
